“PRAY IN THE NAME OF JESUS”

“PRAY IN THE NAME OF JESUS!” – JN 14:13-14 NKJV

Do you know the reason that Jesus tells us to pray in “His” name?  Did you also know the context of praying and asking things in Jesus’ name?  When we ask or pray in Jesus’ name, it most certainly “does not” mean using His name as some magic mantra, to get what we want from Him.  That is straight-out, downright, unbiblical. There’s a difference between asking God for something in His Son’s name out of greed or selfishness, and praying and petitioning Him for something that is in His will.  When we pray in Jesus’ name we are essentially asking our Father to act upon our prayers and petitions “because” we have come in the name of His Son(JN 14:13-14 NKJV).  When we pray in Jesus’ name, this means we are praying according to God’s will.  And, whatever we ask according to His will, we can be confident that God will hear us (1JN 5:14-15 NKJV).  And most importantly to sum it all up: Praying in Jesus’ name is praying for things that will honor and glorify Jesus.  Let us always have a genuine purpose, behind our prayer. Then we can with thankfulness and true gratitude, watch God answer our prayers to Him, (through Jesus) – according to His perfect will.

AMEN, AND DO HAVE A WONDERFULLY BLESSED DAY/EVENING IN CHRIST JESUS!
